How to Book a Wedding
1. Let's Chat!
Send us a message and we will schedule a meet up to talk about your day. We'll also send some helpful guides with all the details.
We'll provide the coffee/ice cream/ boba/insert your favorite snack here.
2. Make It Official
Ask any remaining questions and pick your package! We'll email you a contract and invoice. Once that is signed and your retainer is paid, you'll be officially on our calendar for the year.
3. Engagement Session
We love getting to know you as a couple and making sure you are comfortable and having fun!
Doing the engagement session beforehand is a great way to make the portraits on your wedding easy and stress-free.
4. The love is in the details
1 month before the wedding we'll have a call to plan a custom photo timeline for your day and hear about all the special details you've planned.
5. The Big Day!
We'll be there through everything.
The big moments. The little ones.
Tearing up over your beautiful dress, straightening boutonnières, getting you water, etc. And we won't miss a single moment so you can cherish the day, and the photos, forever.
6. Delivery
After the wedding, while you are having an amazing honeymoon (!), we'll share a few photos as a sneak peek with you. We'll spend the next month perfecting your gallery and deliver everything online!
Please note, some packages have a faster delivery time or you can add it à la cart if you cannot wait to see the photos :).
If you have purchased an album, we'll reach out after the wedding to create the design, finalize all the spreads, and ship it straight to you!
FAQs
How far in advance do I need to book?
For weddings, May, June, September, and October are the busiest months. We may have availability, but reach out early if you already have a date picked so we can get you on the calendar!
For family and portrait sessions, a few weeks is usually enough to get a session schedule. We are happy to book you months in advance as well if you've got your eye on spring flowers or fall foliage!
How do we book you? What's required?
Yay! We require a signed contract and a 30% retainer fee to officially get you on the schedule. Fill out our contact form, and we'll email/meet to talk details and then we can send you the official paperwork.
Will there be a second photographer?
As a husband and wife team we shoot together whenever we can.
Can I extend the session on the day of?
We are happy to add on an hour or two to fit in all the great plans you've made for your wedding day! Please let us know in advance if possible, but if we need to extend coverage day-of, we are happy to do so. Each extra hour beyond your scheduled 6 or 8 hours is $250 per hour.
What should we wear to our session?
We always recommend neutral tones, avoiding neon colors or loud patterns. Coordinating with your partner or family is key for cohesive, beautiful portraits. This doesn't mean you have to wear matching track suits! Just make sure your colors don't clash.
But most importantly: Wear what you feel comfortable in. If you don't feel comfortable you won't have as much fun!
What happens if there is bad weather or someone gets sick?
Bad weather happens! We have driven to a wedding in a snow storm, so we will do out best for your day. Just keep us up to speed as you adjust and/or reschedule.
For family and portrait sessions, we will reschedule in the case of bad weather.
If you are sick and need to cancel - let us know and we will reschedule. If WE are sick, we will also reschedule sessions. For weddings, we will do everything in our power to be there or to get another photographer (that we know and trust!) there to cover your day. No extra cost to you - we will do all the coordinating.
How many images will we receive?
Every wedding is a little different. For the average 8 hour wedding we typically deliver between 500-700 images. A 6 hour wedding typically ranges between 300-500 images.
How do I order prints?
We believe that everyone should be able to have their photos all over their walls, printed in albums, tucked in wallets, everywhere! However, that can get expensive. You can order prints through us and we'd love to help you design your album. However, you have the print rights after the shoot! You can feel free to use us or your favorite print shop.
